Shipping regulations

Shipping regulations for countries within the European Union

Customs documentation is not required. Please ensure that a sender and recipient address is clearly visible on the outer packaging material. Sequencing samples should be sent in packaging materials which should consist of the following three components:

Watertight primary container which prevents leakage (e.g. safe-lock tubes).
Watertight secondary container which prevents leakage.
Sturdy external outer packaging material (at least 100 x 100 mm). The outer packaging material can be a flexible envelope or a box.

Shipping regulations for countries outside the European Union

Please package your sequencing samples according to the above packaging instructions for countries within the European Union. All samples originating outside of the European Union will have to go through customs. To avoid delays and additional fees, just follow the simplified list of shipping instructions below.

A commercial Invoice or air waybill must accompany all international shipments. This document should be in English and clearly visible on the outer packaging of the box or envelope.

Delivery times

Most orders arrive the next business within the EU. Orders placed from customers outside of the European Union arrive depending on the local postal services in the destination country.

Delivery tracking

You will receive an email as soon as your order is dispatched from our site. In your order history under "My orders" a tracking link is provided to follow the current status of your delivery.

Sample shipment

Eurofins Genomics and GATC has already installed hundreds of DropBoxes respective Collection Points in Europe for free sample pick-up. Your nearest DropBox location with pick-up time is displayed in your account when you are logged in.

In case there is no DropBox near you, you can of course send your samples by post or arrange for them to be delivered by another delivery company. Please send Sanger sequencing samples to the address which is shown to you during checkout.

Options for sending sequencing material are available under sample shipment

Shipping DNA/RNA classified to biosafety level S2 or higher

If you are planning to ship DNA/RNA isolated from organisms which, according to German authorities, are classified to biosafety level S2 or higher, we require a signed declaration from an educated, authorized member of your staff (e.g. biosafety officer) that your samples do NOT contain any virulent particles or pathogenic organisms.

Please complete the following form and include a signed copy with your sample shipment.The project can only start after receiving this declaration required by German authorities.
